The Easter That Was

I often thought of Nanay being gone for the first time this year and all the Easters we had spent down at Ipswich, running late for masses but coming home to a familiar house and letting her cook for us the way she always wanted to do. Sometimes when I watch Oakli playing, I remember how she wanted nothing more than to keep watching her grow but I’m sure she’s busy being an angel to the world where her undying faith is needed the most.

Her passing has definitely made me stop and become more present and this Easter Willow and I asked her to help us be kinder to one another. Something small but something we are constantly working on, not only to each other but to others around us.
