This morning I visited the Rocklea Flower Market for colour, inspiration and to purchase unnecessary flowers for no real special occasion other than to bathe in the glory of it’s sweet goodness and spoil myself (a little).
For awhile now I’ve been thinking about combining my two loves of flowers and photography together to shoot portraits and what better way to experiment with that idea than with Valentines Day coming up as well as Oakli’s birthday that very same day too – that’s worth getting a bit fancy right?.
Tip: be sure to wear a scarf, jacket, or bring a blanket if you want to get lost in the cold room and be as indecisive as me choosing amongst 1000 upon 1000 of gorgeous blooms.
Eventually, 45 minutes later I picked out pink roses, mustard chrysanthemums, dried lavender and a jasmine & Gardenia wax melt and if it smells half as good through the packet, it’s going to be extra divine filling my room. I also took home the ‘I must have flowers always and always’ tote because really – it had my name written all over it.
