I’ve been very fortunate enough to grow up with really good home cooked (filo) food and I didn’t realize it so much until I had to fend for myself getting older. I think swallowing pepper corns in adobo was a right of passage, eating fish, strange and stinky food was a norm eg. fish eyeballs was my fave (not so much now) and eating with our hands beyond toddler life was seriously okay. I’m grateful for that upbringing because it unites us and I love seeing my kids appreciate all the food I had growing up too.
Thinking about doing a cookbook with my aunty #SALVACIONCOOKING
She cooked one of my fave snacks today – banana spring rolls and we only have 2 more days left of good food until she leaves 🙁
